1. DIY Christmas cards ("Herringbone")

The New Year tree is an indispensable attribute of the holiday. Therefore, postcards with her image will be especially appropriate. In addition, such cards can be very simple to make.

The Christmas tree applique can be made from plain or multi-colored strips of paper. Making this New Year's craft with your own hands is within the power of even a small child.

The strips of paper can be replaced with colored tape or tape. It also turns out very beautiful New Year's cards.

A more complicated option is a New Year's card "Christmas tree" made of paper tubes. This original volumetric New Year's card "Herringbone" is made of paper tubes. The herringbone is decorated with multi-colored buttons. Its trunk is made of a twig. To make this postcard for the New Year, it is advisable to use special scrapbooking paper or corrugated cardboard.

It is very easy to make a Christmas tree applique using purchased stickers. Even a two-year-old can do this craft for the New Year with his own hands.

Simple and effective - homemade Christmas cards "Herringbone" from ordinary buttons.

You can also embroider the herringbone with threads. Only in this case, the New Year's card should be made of high-density paper or cardboard. Previously, the holes must be carefully made with an awl. For the simplest version of the Christmas tree, see the photo below.

For a more complex version of a New Year's card with a Christmas tree made of threads, see here >>>> To make this New Year's craft with your own hands, you will also need sequins or beads.

By the way, you can embroider not only a Christmas tree with threads, but also something else, New Year's. For example, here is such a cute deer.

An original New Year's card with your own hands can be made from a fern leaf or any other plant similar to it. For example, cypress twigs. Just take the top of the piece of paper and stick it onto the card. It will be a herringbone. You just have to decorate it with sequins or confetti made with a punch from colored paper. Instead of confetti, you can glue colored pieces of plasticine onto the Christmas tree. This part of the work of making a homemade New Year's card will be within the power of even a kid.

You can make a New Year's card either from a whole fern leaf, or just from its top.

The technique for making volumetric Christmas trees is similar to the method for making Christmas balls. See link >>>> Only you don't need to glue them together, instead stick the Christmas trees on the postcard.

Option 3.

Do-it-yourself volumetric New Year card. To make such a voluminous Christmas card for the New Year, you will need three sheets of green square paper: large, medium and small. Also, in order to make the tree trunk, you will need a brown rectangular sheet of paper.

Fold each square piece of paper in half first (horizontally and vertically) 2 times to outline the centerlines. Then fold them two more times diagonally. After that, fold each sheet in the form of a pyramid (see photos 3 and 4). From the resulting pyramids, glue the Christmas tree by inserting them into each other. How to make a trunk for a Christmas tree is shown in the photo (8, 9 and 10). Finally, glue the tree to your New Year's card.

Option 4.

Do-it-yourself volumetric postcard for the New Year. Making this volumetric postcard out of paper is much easier than it might seem at first glance. First, you will need to cut 5 halves of circles of different sizes from green paper: large, smaller, even smaller, etc. Bend each half of the circle in half, then in half again, and again in half. Expand each blank and form folds with an accordion (see photo).

Now put one blank into another and glue them together along the three central folds.

For the trunk, cut a rectangle out of brown paper and also fold it accordion.

Glue your paper tree to the card base. Snowflakes are easiest to make out of white paper using a hole punch or draw with a cotton swab.

Option 5.

A very beautiful New Year's craft with your own hands, accessible in complexity to a preschooler, is a voluminous New Year's card "Herringbone". The herringbone is made of rectangular strips of paper folded like an accordion. But there is one caveat here. If you carefully examine the photo, you will see that the tiers of the Christmas tree are made of strips of paper of different widths: the widest at the bottom, the closer to the top, the narrower. In addition, the fold depth of the accordion is also different. The bottom strips of paper are folded into an accordion with a large "step". The higher towards the top, the shallower the fold depth.

Here are two more voluminous cards with a Christmas tree made from a triangular-shaped sheet of paper folded like an accordion. Simple and tasteful!

Option 6.

Another voluminous New Year card. Again, this New Year's craft for children is attractive not only in appearance, but also in its ease of manufacture.

To make such a New Year's card with your own hands, print templates (template-1 and template-2) on two sheets of cardboard or thick paper and use the detailed instructions from the photos below. It is better if the sheets of cardboard are of different colors.

Finally, decorate the tree to your liking. A voluminous New Year card is ready!

Option 7.

Origami Christmas tree. We suggest you make a voluminous New Year's card decorated with a Christmas tree made of paper made using the origami technique. To make the card look more elegant and festive, choose prettier paper for your Christmas tree. Special scrapbooking paper is well suited for this DIY New Year's craft. By the way, making such an origami Christmas tree is much easier than it seems at first glance. For one origami Christmas tree, you will need 4-5 square sheets of paper of different sizes.

Option 10.

3. Postcards for the New Year with your own hands ("Christmas balls")

DIY Christmas cards with the image of Christmas balls look good. New Year's application "Christmas balls" can be made of bright paper and decorated with ribbons.

Beautiful Christmas balls are made from colored strips of paper. Cut an unnecessary glossy magazine (advertising brochure) into thin strips, stick them on a white sheet of paper. After that, cut out circles of different sizes from the resulting striped paper. Decorate your New Year card with them.

Christmas balls can be made not only from paper, but also from buttons.

Store-bought decorative rhinestones can be used instead of buttons.

Another Christmas decoration, a garland of flags, will look spectacular on a New Year's card. Flags can be made of paper or fabric and then glued or sewn onto a postcard.

Even very young children can make a Christmas card with their own hands with the image of a multi-colored garland of fingerprints.

And from a handprint you can make a New Year's card with Santa Claus or funny snowmen.

1. On any surface that does not absorb paint (for example, a regular pan), make a rectangular frame (to fit your postcard size) with duct tape or duct tape.

2. Apply paint evenly to the surface. Draw a drawing on the New Year theme with a cotton swab.

3. Attach a piece of paper. Do-it-yourself New Year card is ready!

4. Do-it-yourself volumetric card for the New Year "Snowman"

Separately, I would like to tell you about this original, voluminous postcard for the New Year. It is very simple to make such a snowman out of paper. Even a preschooler can cope with the task. It is necessary to cut three circles of different sizes from thick white paper. Along the edge of the circles, it is advisable to shade them so that they stand out better against each other. This can be done using a crushed pencil lead or eyeshadow. Also cut out a scarf, pens, a carrot nose, eyes and buttons from colored paper. Glue all parts of the snowman sequentially on the blank of your New Year's card.

9. Original postcards for the New Year with your own hands. DIY Christmas

We would like to acquaint you with another interesting technique for making New Year's cards with your own hands. The herringbone and New Year's ball in the photo below are made using this technique.

To make a Christmas tree postcard, you will need:

Red cardboard sheet
- a sheet of colored origami paper (dark green on one side,
on the other hand - light green)
- scissors or a special knife for cutting paper
- glue

Print the stencil on a piece of green origami paper. Make cuts along the lines. Where the trunk of the tree is, cut out the entire piece of paper. If you fold a piece of paper in half before making the cuts, you can cut it out with scissors. In this case, even a preschooler will be able to make a postcard. If you want to do without a fold in the center of the postcard, then it is better to make cuts with a special paper cutting knife. Now you just have to bend the corners back and glue your blank onto the cardboard.

The "New Year's ball" card is made in the same way. The stencil for making this original New Year's card can be downloaded from the link >>>>

The snowflakes from the section are made using the same technique. They can also decorate a postcard for the New Year.

And one more do-it-yourself New Year's card "Herringbone", made in this technique.

To make this card for the New Year, print the template on a piece of white cardboard. On the back, stick a thin sheet of green paper. Cut the corners with a paper cutting knife, bend them. Now cut and fold your New Year card in half. If you want to write New Year's greetings inside, then stick an additional sheet of green paper so that the letters do not shine through the holes. Even a modest souvenir, accompanied by a beautiful handmade postcard, will be a great gift. Such a postcard will not only convey warm wishes, but also become an excellent decor for your home. Here's how to make adorable Christmas cards easy and simple.

1. Almost knitted postcard

The leftovers of yarn for knitting can be put into action by making a New Year's card out of them with your own hands. Cut a triangle out of cardboard, which will become a Christmas tree, generously grease it with glue and wrap it with colored threads. The more yarn colors are used, the better. Then glue the Christmas tree onto a regular postcard and add some extra decoration if desired.

2. Contrast textile applique

Pieces of brightly colored fabric will come in handy for creating a postcard. Choose textiles that won't crumble. Cut out simple figures from fabric - trees, Christmas balls, animals - and glue them on a white card. A contrasting combination of colors looks most impressive.

3. Balls and ribbons

Using ribbons in decor is a win-win solution for those who want to create a festive mood. Draw the outlines of a New Year's ball on paper or lay it out using glued beads, and place a bow tied from a narrow ribbon at the top. The presence of volumetric elements makes this decorative postcard very original.

4. Herringbone with voluminous branches

Roll thin tubes out of multi-colored paper. Grease one of the edges with glue so that it does not unfold. Then glue the straws of different lengths onto the card. The card with a voluminous herringbone is ready.

5. Laconic stripes

Fans of minimalism will appreciate the restrained but effective postcard, where Christmas tree branches are made from strips of paper. The only decoration of such a postcard is a decorative seam on paper branches and a frame around the edges of its front part.

6. Fragrant message

A card that not only looks great but smells good is a really nice surprise. Use cinnamon or vanilla sticks as a basis for a decorative composition, surrounding them with New Year's tinsel, beads, pictures.

7. Winter lace

White lace becomes snow-covered Christmas-tree branches, and sequins glued to it become New Year's balls. For the background, use paper of any pastel shade or textured fabric, such as burlap.

8. Simple drawing

Even a simple drawing on a New Year's card can look impressive. To make the postcard look noble, pay special attention to the accuracy of its application. We also recommend using rough craft paper or snow-white glossy paper.

9. Sewing on paper

An easy way to make a postcard three-dimensional is to sew on any paper shape with one central seam and fold back its edges. You can also use several figures of the same shape, stitching them with a common seam, and sticking one of them as a background. Then the image will be even more voluminous.

10.With quilling elements

Quilling is the art of creating decorative compositions from strips of paper. It will not be possible to fully master it in a couple of days before the New Year, but it is quite possible to apply certain techniques in the decor of the postcard. The circles of twisted narrow strips of paper become Christmas balls, and the Christmas tree is the green curved line drawn on the card.

11. Combination of several different textures

Another easy way to diversify a familiar applique is to use materials with a different texture for it. For example, knitted fabric, cardboard, plain tissue paper. Then, despite the simple form of the elements, the postcard will look non-trivial.

12. Eye-catching contrasts

It is not at all necessary to use white paper as the basis of the postcard, and to make the appliqué bright. Do the opposite, and the decorative composition will sparkle with new colors.

13. Either an inscription, or a drawing

For lettering and drawing, choose a paint that contrasts with the paper backing. The more intricate and decorative the inscription is, the better. Don't forget to surround it with small, simple drawings.

14. Cute landscape

A simple landscape applique will be a real decoration for a New Year's card. Complete it with voluminous elements - cotton wool imitating snow, beads, sequins, and even chains. This DIY New Year card looks very cozy.

15. Elegant brutality

On heavy, saturated paper, make holes along the outline of the triangle. Pull the threads between them in a random order. Don't make too many stitches - our New Year's card is valuable for its laconism.

16. Maximum gloss

Draw a Christmas tree on the paper and grease it liberally with silicone glue. Then add sparkles and beads. After drying, a thick thread can be glued along the contour. Such a New Year's card with your own hands will sparkle with all the colors of the rainbow.

17. Paper snowmen

The basis for the snowman card is white paper folded several times. Lightly grease it with glue to keep the snowman in shape. From the remnants of the fabric, make a hat and a scarf for the snowman, draw his face.

18. Second life of old buttons

In every house there are many buttons that are no longer needed, but it is a pity to throw them away. Buttons will come in handy on the eve of New Year's holidays. Glued onto a postcard, they become Christmas balls. Complete the composition with a simple caption. Do-it-yourself New Year card is ready.

It is customary to give postcards for all holidays marked and not marked on the calendar. This applies to large religious holidays such as Easter or personal and small ones such as a day of acquaintance or a big purchase. All memorable dates need postcards and New Year is no exception. As you know, one cannot buy something made directly by human hands in a store and one cannot find it from another. Everything is unique.

We invite you to please and surprise your friends and acquaintances with New Year's cards. And to this we attach a selection of ideas for inspiration on the theme of New Year's cards.

Idea number 1. Christmas card with a Christmas tree in a skirt

This is a three-dimensional postcard. If you have planned to write a wish and then print it on a printer, then this should be done before decorating.

So, what you need to create a corrugated paper herringbone card:
2. Corrugated paper.
3. Scissors.
5. Double-sided tape and / or PVA glue.
6. A simple pencil.

Let's start by preparing the base for the postcard. To do this, take cardboard or thick paper, fold it in half. Basically a standard postcard move. Further, on one of the halves, make an approximate sketch of the poor Christmas tree. This can be done with a couple of lines.

Now let's prepare the corrugated paper. You need to cut it into strips about one and a half centimeters high, and in length, this value is curled because how fluffy the Christmas tree needs to be. We propose to take a third of the planned length for the allowance. The stripes should be of different sizes to maintain the triangular shape of the herringbone. That is, both the shortest and longest strips should be available.

Now you need to glue the strips of corrugated paper in place. It is better to start from the lower tiers and gradually work your way up. Focusing on the marks made earlier and using glue or double-sided tape, glue the strips, picking them up a little. To get a kind of skirt with folds.

When finished, you can decorate the top of your Christmas tree with a star and glue glitter, rain, bows, or something like that.

You need to pick up some elements or come up with kind words. So that your postcard will leave an even greater impression on the addressee.

Idea number 2. New Year card and some scrapbooking

In this version, it is better to print the wish in advance or print it on a separate piece of paper, which can also be played up and presented in an original way.

So, what do you need to create a postcard:

1. Thick colored cardboard or paper. A4 format will suffice.
2. Scissors.
4. Elements for decoration, at your discretion.
5. Scrap paper.
6. Any object shaped like a pencil.

Scrapbooking postcard, for beginners

Decide on the size of the poor Christmas tree. And already based on this, plan how much paper you need. More precisely, how many and what size you need to cut into rectangles from scrap paper.

Then, as you decided on the number of rectangles and cut them out, you need to roll each one into cylinders. The basis of which will be a pencil or something cylindrical in shape, which you have at your fingertips. You need to twist the tubes in the direction of the width, and so that they keep their shape, after you remove the base, you need to fix the structure with glue.

After each rectangle is twisted into a tube, you need to connect all the tubes together with glue. Naturally, you should stick to roughly the shape of a Christmas tree, that is, a triangle.

Now let's get to the base of the postcard. Take a prepared piece of cardboard or heavy paper and fold it in half. Now you need to glue the Christmas tree to one of the halves. But before that, the glue on the tree should grasp enough and dry.

After the Christmas tree is glued to the base of the postcard, it's time to decorate it. For this purpose, you can use all kinds of decorations - buttons, miniature bows, ribbons, beads, rivets, sequins, sequins, in a word, whatever your heart desires.

Decorations can be glued onto double-sided tape.

Do not forget to write something nice to the addressee inside.

Idea number 3. New Year's card in the style of "children's hands"

This idea is perfect for little needlewomen and needlewomen. She is uncomplicated, but sweet and open, just like a child's soul. Let's not hesitate, call the kids and let's get started.

1. Colored cardboard. We propose to take the classic color combination: red and green. But you are free to change them.
2. Sequins, rhinestones, sequins.
3. Wrapping paper or candy wrapper.
4. Black thin marker.
5. Scissors.
6. Double-sided tape and / or PVA glue.
7. Elements for decoration, at your discretion.
8. Stapler.
9. Hot melt glue.

Let's start by preparing the base for the postcard. To do this, take the red cardboard and simply fold it in half. You can cut off the corners of the resulting rectangle a little. This will make your message more interesting.

We make a Christmas tree. You will need to take a green cardboard and fold it in half and then cut it. Bend the "accordion" out of one half. Determine the width of the "step" yourself. We recommend at least one centimeter and no more than three. Grab one end of the "accordion" with a stapler, you can put two staples for reliability.

Now let's arrange the stump. To do this, you need to cut out a simple rectangle from wrapping paper or candy wrappers. If you use the latter, then do not forget to first iron it with an iron through a simple sheet of paper. This will help straighten the wrapper.

Now you need to glue the Christmas tree to the base of the postcard. Hot melt glue is perfect for this purpose. It is better not to trust children with this operation. At the free end of the Christmas tree, tuck the stump and glue it too.

Advice. Since the heat gun heats the rod to a sufficiently high temperature, the child can burn himself or ruin the whole work with a careless movement, it will be offensive.
It's time to dress up the Christmas tree. Glue the decorations you have prepared to the crown. Don't forget to put something big and pretty on top of your New Year's beauties.

Give your child a marker and let him write some simple and kind words on a postcard and let him make a couple of mistakes, where can we go without them?

Idea number 4. New Year card in the style of "minimalism"

We offer you a postcard with a herringbone in a minimalist style for consideration and inspiration. At first glance, a simple and even modest postcard becomes quite complicated when studied in detail. But you're not looking for easy ways, are you?

So what you need to create a minimalist greeting card

1. Thick colored cardboard or paper. A4 format will suffice.
2. Stationery knife or shaped hole punch.
3. Thread with a needle. It is better to take the color of the thread contrasting with the main color of the postcard. And the type of thread you can take is similar to "iris".
4. Pencil and ruler.
5. Sequins.
6. Scissors.

DIY Christmas card for children

We will start, as they say, from the beginning. Fold a piece of cardboard in half. Now on one of the parts you need to make some sketches. This applies to the location of the top of the tree and the tree itself. After you conditionally placed the Christmas tree on the half of the postcard. Carefully cut through the top of the tree. If you have a shaped hole punch, then this task will not take much of your time. Well, if there is no hole punch, then first draw a star, then carefully cut it out with a clerical knife. By the way, before starting work, it is better to update the tip of the blade.

After you are done with the star. Take a thread with a needle and using your marks, start making stitches. Remember to string enough sequins onto the string after piercing the paper. It is not advisable to pull the thread tightly and it is also not desirable for it to sag.

Now you need to make notes through the cut out hole of the sprocket. So that its location can be seen inside the postcard. Use a sticker in the shape of an asterisk and any other, not necessarily exactly this shape, as long as it is not clear what kind of sticker it is when the postcard is closed.

That's all. Write something good inside and donate boldly!

Idea number 5. Postcard with a Christmas tree in origami technique.

Origami is a very complex and interesting technique. Her Asian roots give her a certain charm and mystery. At the mention of this technique, complex structures and intricate schemes immediately pop up in memory. But don't worry, the tree below is not aerobatics. You will definitely cope with it.

So, what do you need to create an origami Christmas card:
1. Colored thick paper, not cardboard.
2. Colored cardboard.
3. Double-sided tape and / or PVA glue.
4. Elements for decoration, at your discretion.

Let's start at the bottom of the postcard. Gently bend a sheet of multi-colored A4 cardboard (you can also use another one) in half.

Tip: Keep in mind some cardboard sheets tend to crack when folded. This greatly affects the aesthetics of the postcard itself. If you have trouble running into such cardboard, then the bend can be decorated with curly cut colored paper or tape, or even braid.

So, now we need to fold about three origami modules. More or less modules can be made depending on the original size. Accordingly, the herringbone will be larger or smaller.
Let's start from an example. Take three squares of heavyweight or scrapbooking paper. You can print any image you want on thick paper. The sides of the square, as we said above, can affect the size of the tree. In our case, 20 centimeters. The square needs to be folded diagonally, then expanded and bent again diagonally, crosswise.

You have conventionally marked four triangles, now you need to fill in two opposite to each other. Now press the resulting triangle to any surface and mark for yourself the conditional center of the figure, bend the bottom corner parallel to the marked middle. Repeat the procedure with the second corner. The module is ready. Add two more. You can take a different color of paper.

Let's start assembling the Christmas tree. Glue the origami module onto the base of the postcard. You can use glue or tape. The formation of the Christmas tree should be done from top to bottom, as if nesting the next module into the previous one.

The next step is to fill in the details for your postcard. How and what to decorate, choose yourself. As an example, we offer bows and buttons.

Idea number 6. Postcard with ribbon - herringbone

This idea is also minimalist. And it is not too complex a design. If you are looking for ideas for working with children, then this idea is perfect for you.

So, what do you need to create a card with a ribbon herringbone:

1. Thick colored cardboard or paper. A4 format will suffice.
2. Scissors.
3. Double-sided tape and / or PVA glue.
4. Elements for decoration, at your discretion.
5. Decorative ribbons, scrap paper or clippings from brightly colored printed pages.
6. Stickers. In this version, it is important to take stickers in the form of stars.

We will start, respectively, with the preparation of the basis. To do this, bend a sheet of cardboard in half. Among the prepared materials, look for paper or tape in color that is closest to brown. We will decorate the trunk of the Christmas tree. The ideal option would be to cut a highly elongated trapezoid out of brown paper. On one of the halves of the base, glue the trunk of the Christmas tree. Try to place it exclusively in the middle of the sheet.

After you have completed work with the trunk, you need to pay attention to the crown of the tree. Namely, cutting the prepared material into strips. Each next strip should be longer or, accordingly, shorter than the previous one. It is better not to change the width. We suggest cutting strips of about 1.5-2 centimeters.

Now that you have visually imagined how many strips you need, you need to cut the corners of the cut ribbons at an angle of about 45 degrees. So that, in general, the tapes, already placed in their proper places, represent a triangle with a strongly pointed apex. It is better to do this not for each tape separately, but for all at once, with one, so to speak, notch.

Glue the star-shaped sticker to the very top of your tree. On this we can consider the work on this postcard finished. But you can add details with decorative elements. This is for your taste.

Idea number 7. Christmas card with original Christmas tree

And one more idea for inspiration for the New Year's variation. The idea is also not distinguished by the multistep and high cost of materials. And at the exit there is an original and cute decoration for a New Year's card. If you take pastel shades, or as makeup artists like to say, nude shades, then the postcard will have a rather bright feminine character. Such a card would be an appropriate addition to a present for a woman of middle age and older.

So, what do you need to create a greeting card with an original Christmas tree:

1. Thick colored cardboard or paper. A4 format will suffice.
2. Scissors.
3. Double-sided tape and / or PVA glue.
4. Elements for decoration, at your discretion.
5. Round napkins or double-sided colored paper.

The first thing we do is smooth the cardboard across. Now the main part of the postcard is ready.

Now we are making a Christmas tree. To this end, you need to take a double-sided napkin in the shape of a circle and divide it exactly in half. In the future, you only need one piece to create one Christmas tree. Well, if you could not find suitable napkins, then you can make paper for this purpose yourself. The main thing is to decide what size your Christmas tree appears to you.

Since it must be borne in mind that the average printer is able to print any picture only in A4 format. Accordingly, based on this, it is necessary to calculate the size of the living tree. Alternatively, you can use heavyweight double-sided paper.
In favor of the option with a printout: if you print only a semicircle, the size of the tree will increase to 20-25 centimeters.

So, you have decided on the paper and there is a semicircle in front of you. In order to fold the Christmas tree, you need to do a fairly simple operation. Along the straight edge of the semicircle, step back about 3-5 centimeters and make an inconspicuous mark for yourself. This is where the top of your tree will be located. Now "accordion" smooth the paper. The step width is approximately five centimeters. Experiment with this. You may be satisfied with other options.

It makes sense to fix the resulting folds so that the Christmas tree does not strive to free itself like a spring. This can be easily done with double-sided tape. When your hand becomes more confident in folding the accordion, you can pre-fix the tape on a semicircle of paper.

Now you need to glue the Christmas tree on one of the halves of the poor postcard. This can be done with tape or glue.
If you wish, add details to the card, decorate the Christmas tree with decorative elements.

We are all familiar with children's books since childhood. Who, not yet knowing about it, were the founders of the modern ultra-fashionable 3D. Turning over the next sheet, we met with foxes, wolves or Koloboks, who as if alive rose above the book pages. Agree, then for us it was almost magic. We have grown up, and now we can try on the mantle of a wizard simply by making voluminous cards for the New Year.

So, what you need to create a New Year card with a 3D effect:

1. Thick colored cardboard or paper. A4 format will suffice.
2. Scissors.
3. Curly scissors (optional).
4. Pencil and ruler.
5. Stationery knife.
6. Elements for decoration, at your discretion.

Let's start making 3D postcards for the New Year

It is required to cut out several triangles from colored cardboard; for this purpose, take curly scissors. In the future, these triangles will become tree crowns. You don't have to make them the same, you can experiment with the sizes.

Now let's get down to preparing the base of the postcard. For this purpose, you need to take two sheets of cardboard and paper. The cardboard will act as the backing, and the paper will be the inner thread of the card. And fold them in half

A sheet of paper that will play the role of an inner liner must first be outlined, and then using a clerical knife or scissors to make cuts. The marks are applied perpendicular to the fold of the paper and are something like steps, namely stumps for poor Christmas trees.

The crowns of the Christmas trees prepared in advance must now be glued into place. To do this, open the inner insert of the postcard, you should get something like steps, so stick the Christmas trees on them. Have you already understood the principle of the postcard?

We invite you to familiarize yourself with the idea for creating a very original greeting and not only New Year's card. But still, it will look like the sheets folded in half that we are used to. Although, here is a completely different principle. But the addressee will definitely like it.

So, what do you need to create a dynamic New Year greeting card:

1. Thick colored cardboard and / or paper. A4 format will suffice.
2. Scissors.
3. Stationery knife.
4. Compasses.
5. Sufficiently thick thread.

On a standard A4 sheet of paper, draw a circle with a compass. Then cut it out. Now fold the resulting circle in half and use scissors to make cuts that are alternately arranged and reflect the outline of the circle. As the distance from the center increases, the incisions should become longer.

After that, you need to straighten the circle. Glue the thread to the center of the circle. To make the product more interesting. The thread is passed through the top and circles made of cardboard, contrasting in color, are glued to it. The thread is positioned so that the glued circles are located under the base of the circle. Now, if you pull the string, the structure will turn into an unusual garland shaped like a herringbone. And inside, bright circles will playfully be seen.

Now you need to glue the Christmas tree after returning it to the folded state. While gluing, make sure that you do not glue too much, and the tree has the ability to creep out. The base to which you will glue your dynamic Christmas tree can be made of folded cardboard.

That's basically it. You have got an unusual and dynamic postcard, it remains to write congratulations and present.

Idea number 10. New Year's cards, decorated with double-sided tape with a backing

We offer you several options at once under one heading. Since they have a common element - in all versions, double-sided tape with a backing was used as a basis for decorating and fixing the elements.

So, what do you need to create a New Year greeting card using double-sided tape:

  1. Double-sided tape with backing.
  2. Thick colored cardboard or paper. A4 format will suffice.
  3. Scissors.
  4. Shaped hole punch, upon request.
  5. Ribbons, cord, or thick thread.

Option 1. First you need to prepare the basics for the postcards. This is very simple to do - you just need to take a few sheets of cardboard and bend them in half. You can make not only rectangular shapes, but the simplest and most familiar ones. Triangular or cardboard ones will also be quite original, just keep in mind that not all decor elements look equally good, for example, on a round shape.

Then we will prepare the elements for decoration. Using a shaped hole punch, cut out a lot of colored cardboard circles from colored paper. It is desirable that the size be different. Well, if a hole punch was not found on the farm, you can simply cut everything out with scissors. True, it will take more time, but we are not looking for easy ways? It is better to take paper that is hard and different in color. The ideal option would be to use colors that differ in several tones, but within the same shade. You can take paper that simulates a mirror surface and add it as an add-on.

Now you need to take the prepared base of the postcard and stick adhesive tape on it. By creating a semblance of a circle on the sheet. Then remove the protective layer from the pads of the tape and glue the multi-colored circles. Repeat this procedure as you add more layers. Try to alternate mugs of different sizes. The number of layers is yours. Add them until you get the desired result. Then just tie a colorful ribbon with a bow and glue it at the top, making the circles glued in layers into a kind of wreath.

Option 2. A fairly minimalistic option. Good for men or guys. You will need a prepared base of the postcard, on which you glue a piece of scotch tape, and on it a square of plain cardboard. Determine the size yourself. At the top of the cardboard square, place a slightly variegated ribbon bow. It will turn out to be a kind of stylization of the image of a gift.

Option 3. Cut out several rectangles of various shapes from colored cardboard. They must be wrapped with thread in the manner of wrapping gifts with ribbon and leave a bow on top. Then stick the postcards in a row on the double-sided cattle along the lower edge of the blank. You can succinctly add "Happy New Year!"
