Baubles are very popular with the younger generation. The so-called friendship bracelets are worn by many: from children to students. Very often they are given to each other as small gifts, symbolizing sympathy. There are many techniques for weaving baubles. Some are made in a matter of minutes, and weaving complex patterns from knots takes a fairly large amount of time. For the convenience of weaving, almost all baubles should be attached to a pillow or work surface at the very beginning of work, regardless of the weaving technique used.

In addition to floss threads, beads and seed beads can be used for additional decor. Some baubles are even woven from ribbons and look no less original because of this. It is these techniques of weaving baubles, as well as more complex diagonal weaving methods and just bracelets made of threads with patterns that will be clearly demonstrated further.

One of the most popular patterns that is used when weaving baubles from threads without adding additional decor in the form of beads and charms is the Chevron pattern. Despite the apparent complexity, it is quite simple to repeat it.

materials

So, for weaving baubles with a Chevron pattern, you will need:

  • embroidery threads - 8 skeins;
  • scissors;
  • tape and a hard surface or a pin with a cushion.

Step 1. From each skein of embroidery thread, measure 60 cm of thread. If you are not sure if this length is enough, measure the thread from the shoulder to the fingertips of the person to whom the bauble is intended, and multiply the length by two. Cut off the threads.

Step 2. Stepping back from the edge of the threads 7 cm, tie them in one knot. For convenience, fasten the free short end from the knot. You can tape it to any flat, hard surface, or pin it to a pillow.

Step 3. Straighten all loose threads, distributing them mirror by color, starting from the center. You need to take different colors so that the bauble is bright. If you want the bauble to be wide, take more threads.

Step 4. To get a Chevron pattern, you need to start weaving from the outer edge. To do this, the first and second threads on the left side are tied with a straight knot. To make it from two threads with your fingers, make a 4-ku and pass the free end of the extreme thread through the loop formed. Tighten the knot. It should be soft.

Step 5. Continue to tie loops with the next threads in the same way, moving the first extreme thread to the center.

Step 6. After the thread is in the center, start weaving on the right side. When making a straight knot, shape it in a mirror way. Move the edge thread to the center as well. After the extreme threads are in the center, start weaving again, again from the extreme threads.

At the beginning of weaving, be careful not to confuse the order of threads and patterns. After several rows, weaving will be easier, the pattern will be visible.

Step 7. Braid the remaining free ends of the threads with a regular pigtail.
To get a striped pattern on a bauble, start weaving from one end, shifting the extreme thread to the opposite side. After the thread has been shifted, start a new row with the edge thread.

How to weave beaded baubles with oblique weaving

Baubles that are woven from floss with the addition of golden beads look original. One such bracelet can look lonely on the hand, but a couple made of threads of different colors look very bright. In this master class, we will demonstrate how to weave beaded baubles with oblique weaving.

materials

To create a bauble, prepare:

  • floss threads of any color;
  • golden beads;
  • golden button;
  • scissors;
  • measuring tape.

Step 1. Cut two threads from the skein 70 and 45 cm long.

Step 2. Fold a long thread in half, and attach the second to the formed middle, leaving a tail for a tie.

Step 3. Tie the end of the short thread three long ones together, leaving a loop. Start braiding.

Step 4. Weave a regular braid about 2 - 2.5 cm long.

Step 5. String one bead of golden color on the extreme thread of weaving. Move it to the base of the braid, and bring the end of the thread to the side, according to the weave.

Step 6. String another golden bead on the thread from the opposite end. In the same way, continue to weave a bauble, stringing beads on the extreme threads of the braid. Try on the bauble to your own wrist. When 2 cm is left before the end of weaving, remove the beads and form a braid simply from the threads.

Step 7. Finish off with a small knot. Thread the threads through the holes of the buttons. Tie a knot again and cut off any excess.

A bauble made of floss and beads is ready!

How to weave beaded baubles with direct weaving

Wide beaded baubles can not just be woven from ordinary fishing line, as many of us did back in school, but patterns can be formed using the direct weaving technique. So you yourself and in a short time can make a bracelet with any ornament or inscription.

materials

Before weaving beaded baubles with direct weaving, prepare:

  • threads;
  • good quality beads;
  • thin needle for beads;
  • hoop;
  • millimetric paper;
  • colour pencils;
  • flat bowl.

Step 1. First, draw a pattern of your bauble on graph paper.

Step 2. On the hoop, fasten the threads at the same distance from each other. The threads should be well stretched, the distance between them should correspond to the beads. The number of threads should be one more than the number of rows of the bracelet you planned.

Step 3. Thread the needle. On them, string the beads of the first transverse row of your bracelet, observing the sequence of colors shown by you in the diagram.

Step 4. Attach the typed row to the threads stretched on the hoop. They should be located between the beads. Pass the needle in the opposite direction through all the beads of the row, thereby fixing them in place.

Step 5. Similarly, continue to weave the remaining rows until the bauble of the length you need is completely formed.

At the end of the weaving of the bracelet, weave long tails of threads with an ordinary pigtail so that the bracelet does not fall apart.

How to weave ribbon baubles

No less interesting bracelets are obtained from ribbons. Visually, they are much more voluminous than their counterparts from floss and beads. Step-by-step instructions on how to weave baubles from ribbons further.

materials

Before weaving baubles, prepare:

  • two ribbons of different colors, 2m each;
  • pin;
  • scissors;
  • scotch.

Step 1. Lay the yellow tape on your work surface. Fold the blue ribbon in half and place it over the yellow in the center. Secure the tapes with tape.

Step 2. Break the yellow tape to the right, as shown in the photo.

Step 3. Over the yellow ribbon, fold the right half of the blue.

Step 4. Pass the lower part of the yellow ribbon through the blue loop formed.

Step 5. Carefully remove the tape and tighten the tapes.

Step 6. Thread a pin into the resulting knot. Leave it in this position until the end of weaving.

Step 7. Repeating the knot weaving technique already described, continue to form the bauble to the desired length.

Step 8. To finish the weaving of the bracelet from ribbons, thread the ends of them through the loop in which the pin is fixed. Tighten the ends of the ribbons, remove the pin. Fenichka is ready!

Lesson oblique weaving baubles

Weaving original baubles from floss threads without adding additional accessories is possible if you choose interesting and brightly colored source materials. In this case, the threads need to be woven in the form of a pattern. In addition to the classic chevron, oblique stripes and "diamonds" are woven from floss.

materials

To repeat the lesson of oblique weaving of baubles, you will need:

  • floss threads of several colors;
  • scissors;
  • tape measure;
  • scotch.

Step 1. Regardless of the pattern you choose, you need to measure the same parts of the threads of the colors you need. To weave one bracelet, take a thread about 2m long.

Step 2. Fold the threads in half, wrap them with a loop at the end. Fix the loop on the fabric so that the bracelet itself is more convenient to weave.

Step 3. Arrange the threads in the desired order and start tying knots from one of the edges so that the thread moves to the opposite edge. Start each row from the same edge as the first.

Step 4. At the end of the weaving, close with a regular pigtail.

Step 5. The diamond pattern is a little more difficult to weave. The threads before work should be arranged in colors in a mirror image also from the middle. You need to start weaving from the middle of the bracelet. Take the threads located in the center and tie them in knots, moving towards the edges. In this case, the white threads are shifted one to the right and left (symmetrically), and then they should be returned to the opposite position, to the center.

Step 6. Tie two blue and light blue threads along the edges, moving from the center, and then back, repeating the white lines. At this stage, the pattern resembles a chevron weave.

Everyone at least once encountered a person wearing a bauble. This small braided bracelet is a symbol of friendship and peace, and its foreign name is “Friendship bracelet” for a reason. The history of this simple but stylish decoration began among the Indians of North America, who gave ropes woven in a special way to their friends. It was believed that the longer the bauble stays on the hand, the stronger the friendship between people. Not torn, but independently removed from the hand, the decoration symbolized the end of friendly relations, and was one of the strongest insults. The secret of how to weave baubles from threads was passed down from century to century, until in the early 60s of the last century these bracelets became one of the hippie symbols and spread throughout the world.

In addition to friendship between people, baubles symbolize the interests and passions of a person. For those who can read the mysteries of the threads of these pretty bracelets, they will reveal a lot about their owners. Both the depicted pattern or pattern and the color of the threads matter. A widely known example is that if a guy and a girl have the same or very similar baubles on their hands, then these young people are a couple.

Gradually, the original meaning of the exchange of baubles was lost, but they did not lose their popularity. These bracelets are a universal decoration and therefore now they can be seen not only on representatives of the hippie subculture or the hands of small needlewomen, but also on secular fashionistas and fashionistas. Floss baubles always add brightness and special color to the image.

The easiest way is to drive the finished thread to the wrong side of the product, while leaving enough thread to subsequently tie a knot.

We apply the thread of the same color to the place of the gap from the wrong side.

And then we tie this thread with standard two knots.

From the wrong side, we connect the ended thread with the one that has just been introduced.

The junction of the threads is hidden, and weaving can be continued further.

Baubles (fenki, or, as they are also called, friendship bracelets) are jewelry, the name of which speaks for itself. Usually one of the friends weaves such an ornament for another, and the second one wears it until the thread breaks or frays. They are made, as a rule, from threads, but there are other varieties, for example, from beads, ribbons, laces.

At one time, this tradition was popular among American hippies, who, after the exchange of baubles, were considered named brothers. Well, today fenki are used simply as a decoration, although if you want to say something with this gift, this can also be done: after all, each of the colors used in such decoration or their combinations has its own symbolism, which we will talk about a little further.

In the meantime, consider what baubles are and what they are made of.

From beads- perhaps this is the most difficult type of baubles to make, because it requires perseverance, the ability to correctly choose colors, and great patience. Moreover, beads, unlike threads, do not lie in a calm pile, but constantly crumble ... But the decoration that turns out in the end is no worse than the works of art that were made, say, by bead embroiderers in the 19th century.

Baubles from threads- most often they are woven from iris and floss, however, options are possible, for example, acrylic or wool. You can create different types of patterns using a variety of nodes. Most often they talk about baubles with oblique weaving or straight weaving.

Baubles from ribbons are made easier and faster than their "brothers" from other materials. Most often, they take satin ribbons of the same color or two, combined with each other.

There are other options such as baubles made of leather or imitation leather, hemp(material that is made from hemp stalk), colored synthetic laces. In general, such decorations are woven from everything from which you can weave something, there is no limit to fantasy 🙂

Today we will talk in more detail about, perhaps, the most common baubles - made of floss threads.

What are floss threads and how best to choose them?

Any threads, before they are sold to you in the store, go through several mandatory processing steps. First, with the help of a twisting machine, several threads are twisted into one, then these threads go through the process of boiling in an alkaline solution, bleaching and dyeing, at the end they are starched and wound on coils or bobbins.

There is a huge variety of threads for weaving and embroidery, but floss or iris are best suited for making baubles. One floss thread consists of six thinner threads, each of which, in turn, is made of even finer fibers: spatula and cotton.

Cotton floss threads are very durable, but they lack a natural sheen. Therefore, they are given it using the mercerization process. The threads of the floss made of spatula fiber are less strong, but they have a beautiful natural sheen.

In addition to these two types, on sale you can find silky floss made from linen and woolen threads. There are also beautiful types of threads with the addition of metallic threads, as well as those treated with a special fluorescent compound that glows in the dark. Using all these different views, you can almost endlessly set up creative experiments!

How to weave baubles from floss threads?

To figure out how to weave floss baubles, we first need to understand how to read bauble patterns - after all, it is on their basis that all masterpieces of threads are created. And for this it is necessary to understand how different types of knots are indicated on the diagrams and how to tie these knots correctly.

Actually, the whole process of fenko weaving is based on two simple, or loop knots - right and left. Right knot - in which the working thread is located to the right of the knotted thread, and in the left, respectively, to the left. Depending on the combination of loop knots that make up a pair (left and left, left and right, right and left, right and right), 4 types of knots are distinguished.

straight knot

This is a combination of two left loop knots. In the diagrams, it is indicated by an arrow that points to the right and down - in the direction where the working thread goes. The color of the resulting knot will match the color of the working thread.

reverse knot

This, respectively, is a combination in one pair of two right loop knots. Its designation is an arrow pointing down and to the left, and the working thread also goes there.

Left tatting

The working thread in it, respectively, is located on the left and goes to the left. It is a pair of left and right loop knots. Here it is already worth analyzing step by step how such a knot is woven.

  1. To begin with, we tie the left loop knot, while the threads change places, and the working thread goes to the right.
  2. Then, with the working thread, we perform the right loop knot. The threads are reversed, returning to their original position.

Therefore, the designation of the node in the diagram is this - an arrow going first to the right, then to the left.

Right tatting

Its designation on the diagrams is an arrow going to the left and then to the right. And it is performed in a mirror image to the left one - first we perform the right loop knot with the right working thread, leading it to the left, and then the left one, returning it back to its original position.

Knowing these basic knots, you can easily read the patterns of baubles, which means you can practice complex patterns.

How to fix the threads for weaving baubles?

In order for the pattern to turn out to be even, and the threads not to fall apart, they must be fixed at the beginning of work. You can do this in one of the following four ways.

Method number 1: we tie each thread with a knot to a pin, and fasten the pin itself to the fabric, for example, a tablecloth, the back of a sofa, or even jeans on the knee 🙂 A very convenient option when you weave a bauble in field conditions.

Method number 2: the thread can be fixed using a tablet - this is a special board with a paper clip that can be used to press the threads, it is sold in stationery stores.

Method number 3: put the threads on the cover of a thick notebook or book and press it with a crocodile clip.

Method number 4: using adhesive tape or adhesive tape, fix the threads at the edge of some fixed surface, for example, a table top.

In any of the methods, the main thing is to pre-distribute the threads in the order in which they should go on the diagram.

How to determine the length of threads for baubles?

Of course, when you gain experience, you can easily determine the required length of thread for a particular pattern by eye. But if you are just starting to get acquainted with the fascinating world of fennec weaving, then you should know that when weaving a lot of threads go into knots, and the finished fennec is several times shorter than the original thread. Only one double knot takes on about 8 millimeters of thread. Moreover, on both sides, 5-8 centimeters must be left to make ties.

If the bobbin you have chosen is skewed and the pattern is simple (this is a symmetrical pattern, not a complex pattern), the pattern is based on 1-2 knots and no more than 8 threads, you can take threads 80 centimeters long. If the scheme is more complicated, then the length should be taken about 1 meter. You don’t need more - because the longer they are, the more they will get tangled and the more difficult it will be to unravel them, especially if you are weaving a bauble somewhere outside the house, for example, in transport or while waiting in line.

If the thread ends earlier, you can always bring it to the wrong side, and add a new one in its place. However, if you do not want such difficulties, then the length can be measured even more than 1 meter, only each thread will need to be wound into a separate skein and secured with something, for example, with a rubber band.

On one of the sites on the Internet, a formula was found by which you can calculate the length of the thread:

Length = wrist circumference x 4.3 + tie length x 2

For reliability, you can add about 10 centimeters more to the resulting figure.

With straight weaving, everything is usually more difficult, because these are more complex knots and patterns. Therefore, if you immediately take up it, then be prepared for the fact that you will have to lengthen the threads (in one of our articles we already wrote about how to add a thread, so we will not repeat ourselves now). Most often, the length is determined by how many knots will be woven with this particular thread. For example, the background (leading) thread should be made the longest, and the extreme threads, as a rule, turn out to be the shortest, and their length can be calculated by adding the estimated length of the fenki and ties.

You can determine the length of the baubles using the formula: number of rows x 2.3. We take the length of the remaining threads at the rate of 0.8 mm (and preferably 1 cm) for each node in the circuit.

However, if you do not want all these mathematical complexities, then it is better to just take 1 meter of thread, master their lengthening to perfection so that there are no extra knots, and add the desired length each time you need it.

Are you asking how to weave floss thread baubles for beginners? Everything is very simple. A bauble is a handmade bracelet woven from floss threads with your own hands. If you want to become a happy owner of such a product, then you can either buy this accessory through an online store (you can hardly find it in a regular supermarket), or weave baubles from floss threads according to the scheme that we will provide you with below. Making a floss bauble with your own hands is not difficult, the main thing is to follow the instructions and weaving patterns.

What is a bauble and how to weave it from floss for beginners? Baubles are, first of all, a symbol of friendship. The history of jewelry originates from the Indians from North America. The Indians wore a bauble made of floss threads given by someone as a symbol of love or friendship until it was completely rubbed. People wore this decoration as a thank you for the attention and work that a friend put into weaving the product. They removed the bauble only in the event of the end of friendship. Later, the tradition of the Indians passed to the American hippies, for whom the exchange of baubles was a symbol of fraternization. They also used identical baubles as wedding rings. Sometimes beaded rings were also made. Over time, the decoration itself came to the fore, and fraternization was a self-evident phenomenon. You can also learn how to weave do it yourself

In addition, the colors of the threads in the floss that are used in the manufacture of baubles for beginners also have their own importance. So, a multi-colored thread bauble symbolizes the variety of preferences of its owner.

Now, for ordinary people, a bauble is just an ornament. Weaving baubles from floss threads with your own hands can be attributed to a special type of macrame. Moreover, there are a large number of styles and types of weaving baubles. But, in any case, weaving training should begin with the study of the main knots. Knowledge of these knots will allow you to read patterns of baubles from floss threads.

Let's consider a simple scheme of baubles made of floss threads, it uses threads of only two colors. The arrows indicate the sequence of the direction of the thread of a certain color. If you managed to complete this procedure, then it should be repeated several times to fully consolidate the skills and master the technique of weaving baubles. This is also very important because the whole process of weaving is built on these simple manipulations. And so let's move on to simple weaving patterns from floss threads.

Simple floss baubles patterns

An important issue is also the issue of fixing threads for weaving. There are several ways to do this. In any case, you will need the following paperclip for fastening.

You can attach the threads with a paper clip to the book. Preliminarily, the thread is laid out in the order in which they go in the pattern.
You can also fix the floss disassembled by color using a clip on the tablet.
Another method of fastening is to use a pin. Knotted threads can be pinned to any item, be it jeans or a pillow. You can also use electrical tape and attach the threads to the table.
Let's analyze the easiest way to weave floss thread baubles for beginners - straight weaving.

The scheme of direct weaving floss baubles

  • We bend the threads folded together in half, and make a loop on top. This beginning of weaving is extremely convenient for the direct method of weaving, the manufacture of the product.

  • Tie a leading thread at the beginning of the loop.

  • We begin to braid the threads with knots until a loop is obtained.

  • Then we tie the remaining threads according to the diagram below until a pattern is obtained. Moreover, in the pattern, the leading thread must be braided over all the other threads. So the background color is the color of the leading thread.

To finish the pattern of direct weaving of baubles from floss threads, braids should be braided on both sides. In the place where the fastener will be located, another thread will be required. And to temporarily fix the pigtails, you can use either adhesive tape or other threads of a different color. After the pigtails, you need to connect and fasten, and skip a bright thread under them.

Then you should braid the pigtails with a bright thread using a square weaving knot. Moreover, do not tighten the knots strongly, the pigtails should move easily. Consider the scheme of weaving floss threads with a square knot.

Square knot weaving

In the end, you should have a product similar to the one shown below.

At the end of the work, it is necessary to tie a double or triple knot. The ends of the threads are trimmed and fixed with varnish to avoid fringes. Temporary threads are removed.

When weaving floss baubles with your own hands for the first time, it is advisable to repeat each action more than once, even successfully master the entire process of weaving baubles.
In order to make a clasp on floss baubles, you need to fix the threads in a certain way. Consider the general mounting method below.

The method of attaching the threads to the buckle is as follows.

The diagram below shows a straight weave baubles. After finishing work, in order to prevent the knots from blooming, the threads should be tied in pairs. The ends of the threads need to be bent inside out and sewn there with small stitches with threads that match the color.
After the product is sewn half a centimeter, the free ends of the threads are cut off. The length of the bauble itself should be less than the grip of the wrist by about two centimeters.
From thin and soft leather, you need to cut two straps with a width equal to the width of the baubles. Sew them from the inside in such a way as to close the ends of the sewn threads with them.

After the straps are sewn on the front side. As a result, the end of the baubles is sewn between the straps. A hole is pierced in the right place.
The finished product is shown in the figure below.

There are a large number of weaving patterns from floss threads. Direct weave patterns are presented below. Knots must be made at corners and turning points.

Tips and instructions on how to start weaving floss baubles for beginners

First of all, in order to start learning and weaving floss baubles, for beginners, you need to purchase the following materials for work:

Mouline threads of various colors (The length of the thread for the future product is always taken 4 times longer than the future decoration itself).
A pin, tape, clip or tablet as a device for attaching threads.
Then choose the most convenient way for you to attach the threads necessary for the upcoming work. Let's take a closer look at a few of them:

1 way. Each individually taken thread is tied at one end with a knot to the pin. And the pin itself is attached to the fabric or the back of the chair, for example.

2 way. The threads are fixed using a tablet - a special board with a clip.

3 way. For this method, a clip is taken, and floss threads are placed between it and a book or a thick notebook. Then the clamp is fixed.

4 way. The prepared threads, collected in a bundle, are fixed with their ends to any surface that will be convenient to work with using a wide adhesive tape.
In each of the methods, the threads must be correctly distributed in advance according to the color scheme according to the chosen pattern for weaving floss baubles.

They are the basis of weaving each bauble - knots, that is, the ability to make them. Having memorized the basic techniques for making knots, as well as their symbols, it will be quite easy for any beginner to understand all the patterns of weaving baubles. The most common are the following nodes:

Main knot. This knot has such a name because all the weaving of baubles is based on it. It is performed using two threads, as follows. One of the threads, in this case yellow, is slipped under the other, so that a loop is obtained, into which the same yellow thread is threaded. After the loop is pulled to the base of the weave and tightly tightened. It is very important that all knots are the same size.

Half knot. This knot is already made with four threads. To bind it, the two middle threads must be pulled and secured, for example, with adhesive tape. After that, the thread located on the left side moves over the fixed ones and is hooked under the rightmost thread. Then the rightmost thread is passed under the fixed ones, threaded from below through the loop formed by the leftmost thread and both threads are tightened until a loop is formed.

Flat knot. This knot is made very simply, for this, the left extreme thread is thrown over the middle ones, and the right extreme thread is threaded from below into the loop formed. After that, the right extreme thread must be thrown over the middle ones and hooked under the left one, and the left extreme thread must be passed through the middle ones and thrown over the right one. Then the tips are stretched until a knot is obtained.

Your attention was presented to the most simple knots and instructions for them, having learned how to make which every beginner can weave floss baubles with a simple pattern, and then start learning to do something more difficult by choosing one of the methods you like.

Ways of weaving baubles

The most common and popular weaving methods are straight and oblique weaving. With the help of direct weaving, more complex patterns are made that form various patterns, and the method of oblique weaving of floss baubles is quite suitable and only for beginners this fascinating activity, so we will first of all consider it.

Quite often, the beginning of the baubles is done precisely with the help of oblique weaving, which is done with the help of 12 threads. The colors in a bunch of threads according to this method should be arranged as follows:

The threads are arranged in pairs in colors relative to each other, starting from the middle of the product and ending with its edge. After the threads are distributed correctly, their beginning is fixed in the chosen way and the following steps are performed:

We make a fastening knot, approximately at the level of 10 cm from the beginning of the product.

We take two threads from the left edge. We put the first thread on the index finger, pulling it a little, and hold the second with the thumb and middle finger, the result should be a figure similar to the number four. We slip the extreme thread under the elongated second one and thread it from top to bottom through the formed figure and tighten the threads, carefully forming the first knot. Then a similar second knot is made on the same threads.

In the next step, we take two threads from the right edge and, just like on the left side, weave two knots.

Then we take the second and third threads from the left edge and weave the same knots, we do the same on the right side. The action is repeated towards the middle until all the threads are woven in pairs with each other and the threads that were originally extreme become middle.

The second and subsequent rows are woven similarly to the first. At the end of weaving, a fixing knot is made. As a result of all the weaving, a bauble with a pattern very similar to a multi-colored Christmas tree is obtained.

Baubles from a floss with a direct weave

When weaving baubles from floss in a direct way, the working bundle of threads is divided into two groups, into plain threads, which are the base of the baubles and multi-colored for the background and pattern, and the length of the thread for the pattern increases depending on how large it will be. The essence of weaving a product in this way is that the threads of the pattern intertwine the threads of the base according to the pattern. The threads selected for creating floss baubles with direct weaving are attached in the following sequence, first those that will weave the base, i.e. knit the pattern, and then the main threads and background threads, that is, those from which the pattern begins. Let us consider in more detail the process of making baubles by direct weaving in the following example.

How to weave floss baubles with a Ghost pattern:

1. For the drawing, we take the threads of five colors: gray for the background and black, red, white and blue for the image itself. The length of the threads for the pattern should be approximately 100-110 cm.

2. We first attach the threads that will not be used in the first place, namely white, red and blue. Then those with which the products will begin: basic black and gray. Moreover, the gray thread should be the longest of all, since it will be used most often when weaving a pattern.

3. We start weaving the product with a gray thread. To do this, we take a thread of this color and first we throw it over the leftmost black thread, and then we wind it under it and again over the base thread, bringing it out under its own beginning. After these manipulations, a loop is formed into which we thread a gray thread from top to bottom, then gently pull it to the beginning of weaving and tighten the resulting knot. Then we repeat the knot on the same thread a second time. In the same way, all 19 black threads of the base are intertwined with a gray thread, and then the next 4 rows.

4. After that, the colors of the nodules are selected according to the scheme. According to which, we first weave 8 black threads (two knots) with a gray thread, after which we make 5 black knots. To do this, we interlace the gray thread with a black thread, making two knots in the same way as in paragraph three and taking into account that the gray thread should remain motionless. Then again, according to the drawing, we make gray knots to the end of the row.

5. In the next row, black knots are knitted under black knots, gray ones under gray knots.

6. In the sixth row, white is included in the weaving. The input of a new color is carried out as follows: a gray thread is laid behind the weaving, and a white thread is taken instead of it and the work continues further according to the scheme, that is, the black threads will be braided with a white thread.

7. After the required number of knots has been made with a white thread and two black squares are woven on a thread of the same color, you can return the gray thread, weaving the pattern to the end.

8. We continue weaving according to the scheme until we reach the input of a blue thread.

9. We output the thread in the same way as white, replacing white with blue and making a knot using a new color. And then again, according to the scheme, we weave a drawing.

10. In order for the blue thread to quietly leave the weave, it must be removed gradually. To do this, as in the case of white, the thread is braided with two black squares, and only after that we return the main thread of the background, that is, gray. Then again we continue weaving according to the pattern.

11. The red thread is introduced in the same way as the previous new colors of the pattern, after which the rest of the image is woven along with it. In order for the drawing to turn out, it is very important to carefully weave the knots without deviating one step from the scheme.

12. After weaving has been completed, we tie the remaining ends of the thread together, so that in the end we get four neat and identical knots.

13. We fix the upper threads of white, blue, red and gray colors with knots and cut them off, and we fix the black threads with knots with a pin.

14. In order to hide the errors from the wrong side, cut off a rectangle of thin fabric of the required size and carefully sew it with a bauble.

As a result, we get this bauble:

How to weave floss baubles with names

Floss baubles with names are woven using two types of knots shown in the following diagram:

The easiest way to weave floss baubles for beginners with an inscription will be if you use only two colors. In more detail how this is done, consider the example of weaving the letter A.
